Let Us Help You Beat Bruxism

Let us help you beat bruxism

Bruxism occurs when anyone excessively grinds and clenches their teeth. This can happen during the day, but can also be quite common at night when someone is sleeping and completely unaware. There can be lots of reasons for bruxism to occur, including stress and sleep disorders. You may not know that bruxism is happening, so if you are experiencing pain or sensitivity in your teeth, aching in your jaw or tension headaches come and ask us to check if the symptoms are due to bruxism.

We can also help to alleviate the symptoms of bruxism, such as tension headaches. We provide BOTOX® treatment which relaxes the muscles that are used during the excessive grinding; the temporalis and masseter muscles which are used to bring the jaw together and the lateral pterygoid muscles which move the jaw from side to side.

The injections will be mainly in these areas of your head, although it may be necessary to inject other areas of your head as well.

You may experience some pain during the injections, but it doesn’t last. After the treatment you will have relief from the aches and pains caused by bruxism as the muscles will be too relaxed to complete the excessive grinding actions.

We look forward to using the latest technology and treatments to help you with all your dental needs. Just call us to make an appointment.
